Since we are getting contacted by media in the wake of the recent TRC report, we wanted to update our post with this new preface. The intention of “Something Rotten In Denmark”, written earlier in 2024, is NOT to discredit the work of KoRoot as it was run PRIOR to DKRG’s recent involvement. KoRoot, PRIOR to the involvement of DKRG “leaders” Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han, long served the needs of the Korean Adoptee community in Korea and around the world with enormous compassion and care. We cannot overstate how much respect and gratitude which we have for Pastor Kim, founder of KoRoot, whom in our mind is the embodiment of an angel.

However, Pastor Kim will soon retire, and we are VERY uncertain about his chosen DKRG replacements, especially as they position themselves publicly in their capacity as the NEW leaders of KoRoot, calling it the “Adoptees' Embassy in Korea”.
(*stifles incredulous laugh*)

The purpose of this page is encourage DKRG “Leaders” (who now lead KoRoot) TO BEHAVE FAR BETTER TOWARDS ADOPTEES THAN THEY HAVE IN THE PAST. Peter Møller could start by ADMITTING that he is NOT a lawyer. It is apparently ILLEGAL in Denmark to say that you are a lawyer when you are NOT. He could also explain why there are at least 6 articles in the respected Danish publication “Politiken” - not to mention other articles in other publications (all articles *which we could find are linked below) - about his past mismanagement of the START! and Vesterbro Music Festivals and his abusive treatment of bands. His wife Boonyoung Han could start by explaining to me WHY she participated in blocking me from ALL DKRG / TRC related forums for NO REASON having had NO ARGUMENT, after hoovering up my years of research about Switching through her KICA study and then going forward to international press about this very topic, once I had been blocked from the DKRG / TRC movement and permanently ghosted. Both Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han might explain why they ACTIVELY PREVENTED me from meeting with the TRC investigators after I had already PAID for a trip to Korea specifically to do so, and why to date they have NEVER ONCE mentioned Paperslip in ANY of their COPIOUS international press opportunities - despite the fact that Paperslip is still the ONLY website specifically by and for KSS (Korea Social Service) Adoptees. Bear in mind that DKRG - the Danish Korean Rights Group - was specifically set up to focus on the adoption corruption within two of the four major Korean Adoption Agencies - Holt and KSS - as these are the only two Korean Agencies which sent children for adoption to Denmark. The creation of Paperslip in 2020 by this KSS Adoptee preceded the creation of DKRG, and DKRG “leaders” are WELL aware of this website. They just never mention it in the press. Because despite Paperslip’s CONSTANT focus on trying to help KSS Adoptees, DKRG’s mentioning of Paperslip would take away their shine.

Most egregiously, both Peter Møller (a HOLT Adoptee) and especially Boonyoung Han (a KSS Adoptee) were WELL aware of my years’ long KSS K-Number research, which was based on my VERY personal and VERY deeply falsified adoption case, for which I had hoped to get answers through the TRC investigation - yet Peter Møller deliberately assigned FALSE credit for my research to DKRG supporter Bastiaan Flikweert on a DKRG / TRC forum from which I had been blocked. It took over ONE year for Bastiaan Flikweert to FINALLY ADMIT he had NO role in my original research.

Sadly, Korean Adoptees in relationship to Korean Adoption Agencies are literal and figurative beggars - and unfortunately, beggars cannot be choosers. This puts Korean Adoptees around the world in a VERY vulnerable position, so when we came to see the extent to which Korean Adoptees were being mistreated by DKRG Leadership in the lead-up to the TRC Investigation, naturally we were incensed. Our own mistreatment by DKRG “leaders” - we received three out-of-nowhere and devastating figurative punches by DKRG, resulting in our agonizing decision to WITHDRAW our OWN TRC CASE from the investigation in 2023 - is described in detail below.

We wish to express that while DKRG leaders Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han have behaved in SERIOUSLY EGREGIOUS ways toward not only this writer but also toward other Korean Adoptees with active TRC (Truth and Reconciliation) cases (still without explanation or apology), we also recognize the work that is being done to serve a general cause which so many Korean Adoptees believe in. (Though in truth we are in doubt about the motivations of some within DKRG leadership). Ultimately, we at Paperslip share the same overall goals which DKRG “leaders” purport to hold: We want better file access for Korean Adoptees; better transparency in the birth family search process for Adoptees; better treatment of Korean Adoptees by Korean Adoption Agencies, Western Partner Adoption Agencies, and the Korean Government; adequate funding, staffing, and space to be provided by the Korean Government to NCRC for the PROPER management of Korean Adoption files; and a reckoning with and atoning for the egregious past associated with many aspects of Korean Adoption by the Korean Adoption Agencies, Korean Government, and Western Partner Adoption Agencies.

We at Paperslip DO NOT have any financial motive in our advocacy for KSS Adoptees. We just want to see conditions improve for KSS Adoptees and for Korean Adoptees overall. We ardently wish that we did not have to waste time and energy fighting people who are SUPPOSED to be on the SAME side.

As regards Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han of DKRG / KoRoot:
Call us crazy, but we just believe that if you are going to present yourself as “defenders” of “TRUTH” and “JUSTICE”, then you should TELL THE TRUTH and ACT JUSTLY.

Partial Timeline of Events:

2018: We begin research into the topic of Switching. We invited “fellow” KSS Adoptee Boonyoung Han as a “supporter” to a private forum of Switched Adoptees from around the world. (Boonyoung Han is not to our knowledge switched). She promised in writing that she would not discuss our findings outside of the forum, and she never contributed any posts or insights. She would later go on to hoover up our research through the KICA (Korea Intercountry Adoption) study - to which we had referred all the switched Adoptees WE had found and whose stories we had organized - then block us from ALL DKRG / TRC related forums and completely ghost us before going to international press about Switching. Of course, Paperslip’s original research into Switching was NEVER acknowledged, despite the fact that neither Boonyoung Han nor Peter Møller have switch cases themselves. Despite Boonyoung Han and Peter Møller being Danish, it was US who connected DKRG to all of the Danish switched Adoptees who eventually submitted their cases to the TRC.

2020: We begin research into KSS K-Numbers. This research is directly related to our VERY personal adoption cases. Boonyoung Han would eventually contribute her own K-Number to our research. She was well aware that we were conducting this research since 2020.

2020: We created Paperslip.org, which was from 2020-2021 a password protected site.

2021: We made Paperslip.org a public site.

February 2022: We confidentially shared information about our original KSS K-Number research with Bastiaan Flikweert, the non-Adoptee son of two KSS Adoptees who themselves acknowledge that they had directly witnessed my K-Number research on a private forum for KSS Adoptees. At the time, DKRG had not even formed yet (to our knowledge). Bastiaan Flikweert promised not to share this information with others. At the time, our research was only shared to Paperslip, which was at the time a password protected site shared only with KSS Adoptees. He would later come share this information with Peter Møller (whom we did not know at the time) without our permission or knowledge. Peter Møller would come to later deliberately attribute FALSE credit to Bastiaan Flikweert for our K-number research on a forum from which we were blocked.

Spring 2022: DKRG (Danish Korean Rights Group) was formed in Denmark. *Note that DKRG was formed 4 years AFTER we began our research into switching, and 2 years AFTER we started Paperslip. Unbeknownst to us, non-Adoptee Bastiaan Flikweert would become a major supporter of DKRG.

June 24, 2022 - I was recruited to participate by an associate of Boonyoung Han’s in the KICA (Korea Intercountry Adoption) Study around June 2022. I knew that Boonyoung Han was one of the researchers of this study, but was not aware of DKRG or Peter Møller at this time, nor that he had anything to do with the study. Since Boonyoung Han had been part of a forum for Switched Adoptees which I had invited her to join as a “supporter” in 2020, I am sure that this was the reason why I was invited to join this study - so that Boonyoung Han and her research team could collect the information I had gathered about Switching since 2018. I agreed to participate in the study and referred many Switched Adoptees I know to participate in this study. I even did an interview with a researcher based in Jeju, Korea via Zoom on July 15th, 2022 for the study. After hoovering up my personal adoption documents and information about my switch case through this study starting in June 2022, Boonyoung Han and Peter Moller would come to BLOCK me from ALL DKRG / TRC forums by December 4th, 2022 - just a few MONTHS later.

August 2022: Peter Møller, who at the time may have been dating Boonyoung Han (they are now married) reaches out to us to help spread the word to Korean Adoptees about how to submit cases to the TRC, which we gladly agree to do. We create a video explaining how to fill out the TRC application forms, and post the video widely to Korean Adoptee forums.

September 11th, 2022: We submit our case to the TRC. It becomes one of the first 34 cases accepted to the TRC.

December 2022: For no reason, Boonyoung Han and Peter Møller BLOCK us from ALL DKRG / TRC related Facebook forums. They have NEVER responded to our MANY attempts at communication to find out WHY we were excluded without explanation, reason, or apology.

January 1st, 2023: DKRG’s Peter Møller gives deliberately false credit to Bastiaan Flikweert for our original KSS K-Number research on a DKRG / TRC forum from which we are BLOCKED. Multiple Danish Adoptees reported this to us immediately, since they all were well aware that we had done the work. In assigning false credit to Bastiaan Flikweert on a DKRG / TRC forum, Peter Møller OUTS our previously private research to non-KSS Adoptees and non-Korean Adoptees (and who knows who else) who are part of the forum. We are not able to defend our work due to being blocked, and Bastiaan Flikweert patently refuses to acknowledge that he had no role in our research, even privately. In not coming forward to set the record straight for over one YEAR, he patently accepts the false credit given to him for our original research. Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han moderate the DKRG / TRC forums, and along with Bastiaan Flikweert were ALL aware that I was blocked from their forums and could not defend myself.

February 2023: Despite our mistreatment by DKRG, we book a trip to Korea to meet with the TRC. The TRC agrees to meet with us, but unexpectedly CC’s DKRG’s Peter Møller, Boonyoung Han, and Peter Knudsen on their email response to us confirming our appointment. One day later, Peter Møller posts to DKRG / TRC forums from which we are blocked that Adoptees should not try to be “first in line” to meet with the TRC. Shortly after that, the TRC CANCELS their appointment with us. We thus are forced to cancel our trip to Korea, losing a significant amount of money in the process. We realize that DKRG has deliberately run interference in our planned TRC appointment. We had been under the impression that once our case was submitted to the TRC, that DKRG would have no further involvement - it’s still a mystery to us as to why the TRC investigators CC’d DKRG on their email response to us, originally confirming our appointment in Korea.

March 2023: We make the excruciating decision to withdraw our case from the TRC, having taken 3 hard PUNCHES from DKRG for NO reason.

Spring 2023: DKRG goes forward to the press about Switching. Of course, NONE of our original research into Switching is mentioned. DKRG has NEVER mentioned Paperslip in the press, despite their MANY media appearances, and despite their being WELL aware of our work.

February 17th, 2024: Bastiaan Fliweert FINALLY admits on a private Korean Adoption forum that he had NO role in our original KSS K-Number research. However, the only reason he admits this is due to pressure we were able to put on him on a shared Adoption forum from which we were NOT blocked by DKRG (since they do not moderate the forum). He does not apologize, however, for not coming forward to make this admission for over ONE YEAR.

2024: DKRG continues to pretend as though Paperslip does not exist in the media - despite the fact that DKRG was specifically set up to address adoption corruption by the Korean Adoption Agencies Holt and KSS (Korea Social Service) - and despite the fact that Paperslip is the FIRST and ONLY site created by and for KSS Adoptees.

September 2024: In his role as Administrator of the KoRoot Facebook group, Peter Møller turns on post approval so as to prevent us from posting information which will help KSS Adoptees. This is the first time in the 17.5 years that KoRoot’s Facebook history that they have turned on post approval for posts.

6 Danish “Politiken” Articles (+ Other Articles) Regarding His Financial Mismanagement of the Danish START! and Vesterbo Festivals + Abusive Behavior Towards Bands.

Before I get into the specifics of my personal issues with DKRG (Danish Korean Rights Group) “leaders” Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han, I think it’s important to say that my concern about them goes beyond myself, and extends to the Korean Adoptee community at large.

Having now been witness to the behind the scenes behavior of DKRG leaders Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han since 2022, I want to note that they not only USE / ABUSE / and LOSE countless Korean Adoptees, but they have absolutely ZERO remorse for any of their egregious behavior.

Peter Møller in particular is a danger to the Korean Adoptee community, because he has been inexplicably chosen by Pastor Kim (whom we greatly admire, but with whom we seriously disagree over this naive and likely dangerous decision) to co-lead the Korean NGO KoRoot, influenced greatly by his (now) wife Boonyoung Han. Once Pastor Kim fully retires, Peter Møller will likely (as of now) be in charge of KoRoot.

We cannot think of someone we believe to be more antithetical to the kind way in which Pastor Kim has treated Korean Adoptees over the years than Peter Møller. We greatly respect the KoRoot of the past under Pastor Kim, but we are SERIOUSLY worried about the potential KoRoot of the future, given Peter Møller’s pattern of egregious behavior with his past Music Festival businesses and with Korean Adoptees with active TRC cases who are part of the DKRG / TRC forums which he and his wife Boonyoung Han moderate with a severely disciplinary - and sometimes verbally abusive - hand. Several Korean Adoptees have described DKRG as “cult-like” and note that almost everyone is AFRAID to speak up (both on DKRG forums and outside of them) for FEAR of reprisals from Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han. This kind of atmosphere of FEAR created by DKRG “leadership” is just INTOLERABLE, and we do not think that this kind of behavior by Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han toward Korean Adoptees over whom they hold any kind of power - whether real or imaginary - is likely to change.

We know that before he became involved with DKRG and the Korean Adoptee community, Peter Møller developed a REALLY bad reputation in the music industry in Denmark related to the music festivals START! and Vesterbro Festival - Peter Møller’s mismanagement and poor treatment of bands was widely reported about in multiple articles by the serious Danish publication Politiken (see article links below). Peter moved from Denmark to Korea in 2023, seemingly leaving his festival businesses behind. There are apparently SEVERAL negative articles (see below) in Danish press related to this topic. This coming weekend, the Vesterbro Festival takes place in Den Brune Kødby in Copenhagen. Around 80 bands will play at this year's festival, which is now facing great criticism from several quarters.

The Public Information Committee under the Culture and Leisure Administration in Copenhagen has thus initiated an investigation of the Vesterbro Festival, and also of the practice venue association MUVE, which is closely connected to the festival. This happens after accusations that the association has excluded several critical members and that there is no transparency in the board and in the festival. This is written by politiken.dk.

Jesper Nordahl, deputy chairman of the Copenhagen Municipality's Music Committee and one chairman of Dansk Live, also directs criticism at the Vesterbro festival. He says to politiken.dk:

"We have warned young musicians many times against playing at the Vesterbo Festival. But there are so many very young, brand new bands who want to perform, and you can understand that they want to. But because they are very young and perhaps a little naive, they don't listen to the stories that there is incompetence in the festival's management, that there is bad behavior towards bands and volunteers and lack of transparency in the accounts of the festival and the rehearsal space association".

The festival's chairman and ordinary board member of MUVE, Peter Møller, rejects the criticism and welcomes the municipality's investigation:

"They should be welcome to that. We are happy to put everything forward. We are positive about the investigation, and we are sure that we live up to the rules and our own statutes that are in the association. There is nothing to look forward to ", says Peter Møller to politiken.dk.”

“Vesterbro Festival restructures internally after criticism

After a forced extraordinary general meeting, two key people have been given less prominent roles

“Vesterbro Festival has been in the spotlight for large parts of 2013, and it has not only been because of the programme. The small niche festival has been the subject of sharp criticism and has been accused of having opaque accounts and of being too closely associated with the Music Association Vesterbro (MUVE).

The duo (redacted) and Peter Møller have been criticized for having one foot in each camp. Both of them have had financial and managerial responsibility in the two associations that stand behind Vesterbro Festival – the association Vesterbro Festival and the rehearsal room association MUVE, which is why, according to the critics, there has been disqualification and payment of operating support across the associations.

Since May this year, both culture and leisure mayor Pia Allerslev and Rikke Lauritzen, chairman of the Folkeoplysningsudvalget, have demanded action from the management of the two close-knit associations and have even threatened to remove the annual municipal contribution of DKK 100,000 that MUVE receives in direct support. Now the associations have taken the consequences of the criticism and have held the general meeting that has been forced upon them, so that things can be put in order.

According to Politiken, after a good two-hour long meeting on Tuesday, it resulted in the 29 voting members of MUVE having elected a completely new board and at the same time also a new chairman. That title is now awarded to Claus Bøje. This does not mean, however, that (redacted) and Peter Møller are completely out of the game. The former chairman (redacted) will now act as day-to-day manager of MUVE, and Peter Møller will hold the position of chairman of the association Vesterbro Festival as before.”

  Peter Møller has brought his own brand of shady and poor - not to mention VERBALLY ABUSIVE - management to the Korean Adoptee community in his role as head of DKRG. We will not post screenshots here without the permission of multiple Korean Adoptees whom DKRG “leaders” Peter Møller, Boonyoung Han, and others have verbally abused on their closed, private forums. Yet publicly, Peter Møller presents himself as an angel with only “concern” for the Korean Adoptee community, signing all of his missives with “Love, Peter”. It’s classic abuse behavior to punch below the neck, so that the bruises do not show. So it is with how DKRG leaders Peter Møller, Boonyoung Han, and others verbally abuse Korean Adoptees with active TRC cases on their closed, private forums, yet publicly present themselves as “defenders” of Korean Adoptees Rights. I know countless Korean Adoptees with active TRC cases whom Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han have blocked from their DKRG forums for no reason. This is definitely NOT the behavior of those who REALLY care about Korean Adoptee Rights.
  
  And don’t just take my word for how Peter Møller behaves - check out the UNCANNILY SIMILAR issues which Danish TV2’s documentary team had with Peter Møller at the bottom of the page. There’s a clear PATTERN of behavior here which myself and many Danish Korean Adoptees see as extremely DANGEROUS for the Korean Adoptee community.
  
  Without any remorse, Peter Møller has told MANY LIES to Korean Adoptees, including the worst lie of all: that he is a “lawyer”. (See graphics at the end of this section). Peter presented himself to me as a “lawyer” in August 2022 when he first approached me to help DKRG spread the word to US Korean Adoptees about how to submit their forms to the TRC (Truth and Reconciliation Commission). In countless news articles in which he appeared, he has presented himself as a “lawyer”. However, according to MANY reliable Danish sources, Peter is NOT a lawyer, and it is actually ILLEGAL in Denmark to say that you are a lawyer when you are NOT one. He is apparently not listed on the Advokat Samfundet website where all Danish lawyers are listed. Peter Regel Møller is apparently only something like a PARALEGAL, and NOT a LAWYER (as of 2022, 2023, 2024).
  
  I personally signed over legal representation to Peter when I first submitted my case to the TRC by their deadline of September 11th, 2022. As part of that process, I submitted my private, sensitive adoption documents to the TRC by way of DKRG’s submission process. By December 4th, 2022 - just months later - Peter Møller and Boonyoung had for NO LEGITIMATE REASON BLOCKED me from ALL DKRG / TRC forums and have effectively GHOSTED me from that point forward to the present. It was after doing this that Peter deliberately and knowingly gave false credit for my research into KSS K-Numbers to his loyal footsoldier, Bastiaan Flikweert, the Dutch son of 2 KSS Adoptees who had themselves admittedly been witness to my research since 2020.
  
  For her part, Boonyoung Han had been aware since at least 2020 that I was researching KSS K-Numbers (as she had contributed her OWN KSS K-Number to my research) and had also been aware of my research into Switching since 2020. She would have known that my research into both KSS K-Numbers and Switching came from a VERY personal place, as it grew directly out of my own adoption case and related cases. So for Boonyoung to have deliberately BLOCKED me from ALL DKRG / TRC forums before going forward to the press about Switching - because she apparently wanted the CREDIT and the SPOTLIGHT - is extremely SICK.
  
  It should also be understood that this is not just about my being butt-hurt about being blocked from some random Facebook forums. This is about being DELIBERATELY SHUT OUT OF A MOVEMENT in which I had invested an extreme amount of HOPE for getting ANSWERS about my extremely twisted Korean adoption case. That hope effectively DIED because Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han could not stomach the thought of anyone else getting the spotlight. The two of them have effectively prevented me from ever getting answers about my case and my twin’s case through the TRC. That is not only extremely DARK - it’s INSANE.
  
  I go into more specifics about all of this below, but I think it is important to understand the standard Modus Operandi, the ambition, and the sheer ruthlessness of Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han. They are quite the pair, and many Danish Korean Adoptees whom have also been treated egregiously by Peter and Boonyoung say that it is really Boonyoung who is the "Puppet Master” controlling Peter.
  
  Whoever is in charge of this behind-the-scenes sh*t show, it is one thing for Peter and Boonyoung to regularly BLOCK Danish Korean Adoptees with ACTIVE TRC CASES from their private DKRG / TRC forums. To understand why this would matter, it helps to know that the DKRG is the mouthpiece for the TRC investigation in Korea. The only way for Korean Adoptees with active TRC cases to get regular information about the ongoing investigation is through DKRG. So when DKRG shuts a Korean Adoptee with an active TRC case out of their private forums, it means that that Korean Adoptee is totally IN THE DARK about what is happening with the ongoing TRC investigation. For many Korean Adoptees with active TRC cases - including myself, before I WITHDREW my TRC case in March 2023, due to Peter and Boonyoung’s egregious behavior, which I describe in more detail in the section below - being blocked from the ONLY source of information regarding their TRC case has caused a serious amount of anxiety and harm.
  
  Danish Adoptees are collectively TOO AFRAID to come forward to speak about Peter and Boonyoung’s abusive treatment of them, which many have likened to “dictatorial” and “North Korea - like”.
  
  Let’s put this plainly: Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han are two people who claim to be a “Korean Adoptee Rights Group” - yet they routinely BLOCK Korean Adoptees with active TRC cases from DKRG forums which are the only way for such Korean Adoptees to get information about the progress of the investigation. It’s hard to overstate the importance the TRC investigation might have for an emotionally vulnerable Korean Adoptee who has placed hope in the TRC investigation about their adoption case. Let’s not forget that Adoptees in general have a much higher suicide rate than the non-Adoptee population. I don’t think Peter Møller or Boonyoung Han at all think about the consequences of their actions as they supposedly “fight for Korean Adoptees’ rights” - I think they are too high on their own “power” to really care about whom their actions affect or the extent of the damage that they are causing by routinely blocking and ghosting countless Korean Adoptees who have submitted their cases to the TRC.
  
  It is one thing for Danish Korean Adoptees who know EXACTLY how Peter and Boonyoung egregiously behave, and to remain in complicit SILENCE because they are too afraid to be kicked off of or BLOCKED from DKRG / TRC forums while they still have active TRC cases. It will be another thing, however, once the TRC investigation is OVER in one year, and Peter and Boonyoung begin to try to work with the broader Korean Adoptee community outside of just the small, cloistered world of Danish Korean Adoptees with active TRC cases. Word spreads like WILDFIRE in the GLOBAL Korean Adoptee community, and without the TRC investigation to hold people hostage to their dictatorial rule, Peter and Boonyoung may actually need to TREAT PEOPLE LIKE HUMAN BEINGS in order to retain ANY kind of respect in the broader Korean Adoption community.
  
  I think it’s important to say that while I have had my FAIR SHARE of abuse and mistreatment from DKRG’s Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han, I do not think that the Korean Adoptee community at large really knows WHOM they are up against when dealing with this pair of damaged and damaging people. Good friends of mine have shared some horrible lies that DKRG “leadership” has spread about them, after blocking them too from DKRG / TRC forums for no reason except to exclude ANYONE who might take away their shine. I think it is my duty to warn the Korean Adoptee community as these two are capable of inflicting a LOT of irreparable damage.

Peter Møller is NOT a lawyer.

I think you have to ask yourself why someone who could so easily have his LIES be discovered STILL decide to LIE?

Peter Møller has been in Danish press since at least 2011 for financial mismanagement of the START! Festival and Vesterbro Festival - and other bad behavior related to these Danish Music Festivals.

There is a pattern of Peter Møller’s behavior which becomes clear through these articles. He has a Modus Operandi of consistently behaving badly, excluding / blocking members of his organizaitons, ceasing communications, and denying financial mismanagement / lying.

Note the uncannily similar need for me as a Korean Adoptee to WARN other Korean Adoptees about Peter Møller - just as those in the Music industry felt the need to WARN other musicians about participating in the music festivals put on by START and Vesterbro Festival, due directly to Peter Møller’s mismanagement - and just as Danish TV 2’s Producer Nils Bomann felt the need to WARN others about Peter Møller’s bad behavior as well.

Do you see a PATTERN here? Of bad behavior, lying, denial of mismanagement, verbal abuse, opaque financial accounting, and ghosting / ceasing all communications?

We do. Because this message is not just from me. It’s from the growing community of those Korean Adoptees to whom Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han have applied their by now known treatment of: USE / ABUSE / + LOSE.

You can’t say that we didn’t warn you.

Below is the account of my sordid experience with DKRG’s Peter Møller, Boonyoung Han, and Bastiaan Flikweert, from 2022-2024. It would be one thing if I were the only person whom DKRG treated this way. But I think it’s important for the Korean Adoptee community to understand that this is just the standard Modus Operandi of Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han: to USE / LOSE / + ABUSE people.

Something Rotten In Denmark:

DKRG’s Peter Møller Knowingly Falsely Attributed Paperslip’s Original KSS K-Number Research To DKRG Supporter / Member of NLKRG Bastiaan Flikweert on January 1st, 2023. Peter Møller KNEW I Had Done The KSS K-Number Research, Yet LIED And Gave Bastiaan Flikweert FALSE CREDIT On A DKRG Forum From Which I Was BLOCKED.

First I want to say that I do respect some of the work that DKRG has done. Some of the WORK they are doing is absolutely important. But I absolutely DO NOT respect the way in which DKRG “leadership” have steamrolled, lied to, misled, and routinely blocked from DKRG forums MANY Korean Adoptees in their quest for “Adoptee Rights”. Or is it more just a quest for CONTROL and PUBLICITY?

I should note that - unlike DKRG’s behavior - I do NOT hold it against any Korean Adoptee who supports or works with DKRG.

First I should point out that when I submitted my adoption case and SENSITIVE PRIVATE ADOPTION DOCUMENTS through DKRG to the TRC (Truth and Reconciliation Commission) by the TRC’s deadline of September 11th, 2022, I signed over my LEGAL representation to Peter Møller, who had represented himself to me as a “LAWYER”, which he apparently in Denmark is NOT. It is also apparently ILLEGAL in Denmark to represent yourself as a lawyer when you are NOT. Multiple Danish sources who have also been wronged by DKRG have pointed out to me that Peter Møller is NOT listed on the website that names all lawyers in Denmark - that he is only a paralegal - and that he had a failed music festival promotion business in Denmark, before he became active with DKRG. For Peter Møller to have subsequently GHOSTED me - I have not heard from him at ALL in writing since I was BLOCKED from all DKRG / TRC related forums in early December 2022, shortly after submitting my adoption documents and signing over my legal representation to Peter Møller for the TRC case - is frankly FRAUD.

The sad thing about this whole situation is that, back in January 2023, when DKRG’s Peter Møller first knowingly gave false credit to DKRG footsoldier / right hand man Bastiaan Flikweert for my original KSS K-Number research on a DKRG forum from which I had been deliberately BLOCKED, the ONLY thing I asked Bastiaan Flikweert was that Paperslip be credited for the research. This was DENIED, despite Boonyoung Han, Peter Møller, and Bastiaan Flikweert ALL being WELL aware that I had done this original KSS K-Number research. It has taken over one YEAR for the truth to finally come out, and for Bastiaan Flikweert to FINALLY ADMIT he had NO role in my original research into KSS K-Numbers. I would have GLADLY worked TOGETHER with DKRG’s Peter Møller, Boonyoung Han, and Bastiaan Flikweert and openly contributed my original KSS K-Number research to the cause HAD THEY NOT DECIDED TO BLOCK ME FROM THE MOVEMENT IN ORDER TO TAKE CREDIT FOR MY RESEARCH INTO SWITCHING, KSS K-NUMBERS, and KSS HISTORY AND PRACTICE OVERALL.

It is a CRYING shame, because I am definitely NOT in this game for the glory. I want for KSS Adoptees to get as much information as they can so they can learn something about their fractured pasts before they die.

But DKRG has OTHER motivations which are much more narcissistic. I hate that this happened, but all I ever have done, and all I ever WILL do is to tell the TRUTH about what happened to me, in the hopes that DKRG GROWS UP and starts to treat other Korean Adoptees with GREATER RESPECT. Unfortunately, I know that they never will.

It helps to understand a little about my own exhausting and brutal experience with DKRG. On January 1st, 2023, DKRG’s Peter Møller KNOWINGLY LIED and gave FALSE CREDIT for my original KSS K-Number research to one of its staunch supporters / footsoldiers from the NLKRG (Netherlands Korean Rights Group), Bastiaan Flikweert, who has egregiously never refuted this wholly FALSE attribution FINALLY came forward to set the record straight on February 17th, 2024, after more than one YEAR of NOT doing so - and ONLY in response to public pressure.

I had started researching Switching in 2018, and KSS K-Numbers in 2020, in connection to my adoption case. DKRG’s Peter Møller knew about Paperslip and had reached out to me directly in August 2022 to help spread the word about the TRC to US Korean Adoptees, which I gladly helped him to do. My case was one of the first of the 34 cases originally accepted by the TRC, and I was originally excited to be a part of DKRG’s efforts. Something that is little known is that I organized several Switched Korean Adoptees in submitting summaries of their cases to the TRC before DKRG’s TRC effort formed or was known about. Peter Møller himself has acknowledged that the TRC “knew about switching” by the time he met the TRC. The TRC knew about switching at that time because we had already submitted switch case story summaries to the TRC. Boonyoung Han would likely have been aware of this, as she was part of the forum of Switched Adoptees I had invited her to join in 2020 (as a presumably non-switched “supporter” - boy was that a mistake), at the time that I organized switch case summaries to be sent to the TRC. I was shocked when for no reason, while my TRC case was still active, I was unceremoniously BLOCKED later in 2022 from ALL DKRG / TRC related forums by DKRG leader Peter Møller and his (*now) wife Boonyoung Han. In retrospect I now know they treated many Korean Adoptees similarly, but at the time I was completely blindsided. Despite multiple attempts to contact Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han via email, private message, through intermediaries, etc., neither DKRG “leader” has responded to explain why they treated me in the way that they did. I even saw Peter Møller during IKAA in Korea in July 2023, and he could not even look me in the eye - because he knows that he has done me wrong.

Unfortunately in 2023 Peter Møller of DKRG made it a sport on DKRG / *TRC (Truth and Reconciliation) forums from which I had been blocked of falsely crediting Bastiaan Flikweert with my original K-Number research. Multiple people warned me of this and sent screenshots of Peter Møller’s posts, and some Danish KSS Adoptees who had witnessed my research over years of time directly came to my defense. Peter Møller apparently refused to back down, and Bastiaan Flikweert for his part has never publicly corrected this false attribution of my research FINALLY came forward to set the record straight on February 17th, 2024, after more than one YEAR of NOT doing so, and only in response to public pressure. I realize in hindsight that DKRG’s longer term goal in blocking me from all DKRG / TRC forums must have been in order to claim credit for my research into - mainly - Switching; and also KSS K-Numbers. I have been researching Switching since 2018 and KSS K-Numbers since 2020, and in 2020 invited Boonyoun Han to be part of a private online group of Switched Adoptees as a non-switched “supporter”. She agreed at the time not to share information from the group regarding switching with the public, but never consulted me about going forward about Switching to multiple international press outlets in 2023 before she and Peter Møller deliberately and permanently shut me out of the DKRG / TRC movement in 2022. I would have been glad to have supported DKRG before their ruthless and aggressive move to shut me out of the movement.

*Please note that the TRC has nothing directly to do with the DKRG forums related to the TRC. DKRG runs several forums for TRC participants.

Note that DKRG is supposedly about advocating for “Rights” specifically for KSS and Holt Adoptees - and Paperslip is THE ONLY website in the world about KSS and its history for Adoptees. We pioneered researching and making freely and publicly available KSS history and practices beginning in 2021 when Paperslip was created - no one previously had excavated KSS past history and current practices on a public website, for the purpose of educating KSS Adoptees. Yet DKRG has NEVER mentioned Paperslip in the MANY worldwide press articles they have solicited for themselves. Kind of odd, don't you think? This seems less odd when you know a little about DKRG’s cringe inducing behavior toward many Adoptees - myself being just one of them.

Back in 2022 Peter Møller approached me to help him with the DKRG effort, which I gladly did. My case was one of the first 34 accepted for the TRC, but after eagerly helping DKRG in 2022, for no reason, I was blocked from all DKRG / TRC forums and thereafter treated like a punching bag by DKRG. Hindsight is 20/20, and I now realize that DKRG leaders Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han simply wanted to take public credit for my research into Switching, KSS K-Numbers, and KSS history and practice in general. So DKRG deliberately pushed me out, ran interference in a trip to Korea I had paid for in order to talk to the TRC about everything I know about KSS - a trip which I had to cancel after TRC cancelled my previously confirmed appointment following DKRG’s interference. When this happened, after agonizing deliberation and with great disappointment and anger, I withdrew from my case from the TRC. (I wasn’t the only one to withdraw my TRC case due to DKRG’s behavior).

After pushing me out of the DKRG / TRC efforts, on a DKRG forum from which I was BLOCKED, on January 1st, 2023, Peter Møller FALSELY credited Bastiaan Flikweert for Paperslip’s original K-Number research, which we have shared here:

Unfortunately Bastiaan Flikweert (whom WE have credited on this site for information related to KSS - because WE at least believe in giving credit where credit is due) did NOT set the record straight when Peter Møller falsely gave him credit for my original KSS K-Number research *for over one YEAR - he only did so FINALLY on February 17th, 2024, after more than one year of NOT doing so, and ONLY then in response to public pressure on an Adoptee forum. Bastiaan is the non-Adoptee son of two KSS Adoptees who both privately admit that they know that I was responsible for the KSS K-Number research, as they themselves witnessed it happening on a KSS Adoptee forum of which we are members.

Tragically DKRG has a track record of maligning and demonizing any other Korean Adoptees who have done important work in the field of Korean Adoption. If you pledge your fealty to them, you are safe; but if you disagree in the slightest with Peter Møller or Boonyoung Han, then they have been known to kick Adoptees out of DKRG / TRC Facebook groups (even those with active TRC cases) and to spread false and malicious rumors about said Adoptees (like yours truly) to their various closed groups. The amount of trauma caused in the Adoptee community in the lead up to the TRC investigation was massive, and I can only imagine how I might have felt if I were actually Danish. I am actually holding back in not saying everything I know here about Peter Møller’s history. But I may not always do so. Publicly, Peter Møller signs all of his missives with “Love, Peter”. This is akin to an abuser who only punches below the neck in order to hide the bruises, yet publicly attempts to appear to be a saint. It’s disgusting.

I am sure that after reading this, Peter Møller and Boonyoung Han may attempt to spread further false and malicious rumors about me. But don’t just take my word for it regarding the bad behavior of DKRG - see the letter posted publicly by the producers of the Danish documentary team of TV2, in the section called “Danish TV2 Media Producers Call Out Peter Møller of DKRG” at the bottom of this page.

Why NOT LYING About The REAL Source Of Research MATTERS.

It's "funny", on January 1st, 2023 when Peter Møller gave FALSE credit for my original K-Number research to Bastiaan Flickweert, who is the son of two KSS adoptees who themselves fully *admit* to witnessing my doing the KSS K-Number research (since this research was done basically in real time on a forum of several hundred KSS Adoptees), several DKRG supporters messaged me to say that "It doesn't matter!" who did the research. For his part, Bastiaan Flickweert never corrected this false attribution FINALLY came forward to set the record straight on February 17th, 2024, after more than one YEAR of NOT doing so - and ONLY in response to public pressure.

How is it NOT important for a group like DKRG which is supposedly dedicated to “Adoptee RIGHTS” to ACTUALLY TELL THE TRUTH???

As if it was not enough for DKRG to BLOCK me from all DKRG / TRC forums when I had an ACTIVE TRC case, Peter Møller KNOWINGLY LIED and gave one of his footsoldiers, Bastiaan Flikweert, FALSE CREDIT for my research. Then as though that was not enough, apparently DKRG “demonized” me to their cult-like following, when I could not defend myself as I was blocked from their forums. This whole situation has caused me a lot of trauma, and frankly, makes me SICK.

There was a recent Danish documentary by TV2 called "Secret in the Shadow Archive". I was fortunately able to see major parts of it thanks to a Danish connection. It's a great documentary covering falsification of Danish KSS adoption cases.

Unfortunately TV2 has had to contend with issues related to DKRG leadership. They released this letter which was shared with me by a Danish KSS Adoptee:

It is with great regret that we find ourselves compelled to write this post after attempting dialogue. Unfortunately, TV 2 Documentary sees no other option. In a series of posts on DKRG's Facebook page, DKRG's Peter Moller has made a number of undocumented and untrue allegations about TV 2's working methods and ethics in producing a documentary about adoptions from South Korea. These claims have naturally created doubt and uncertainty among the adoptees that TV 2 has spoken with - and especially among those who have agreed to participate in the documentary's recordings, including the planned recordings on May 14, 2023.

DKRG accuses TV 2 of causing offense to its members by engaging in dialogue with them, and alleges that some members have "leaked" others' contact information to TV 2. TV 2 Documentary has refuted these accusations in phone conversations with Peter Møller and through email, providing evidence to show that the accusations are incorrect and baseless. Since it has not been possible to find a resolution where DKRG corrects the false claims for the 649 members of their group, and since TV2 cannot respond to the posts in the closed group, TV 2 is compelled to address DKRG's allegations publicly.

It is deeply concerning and problematic that DKRG is spreading misinformation about TV 2's treatment of vulnerable sources and such a serious topic. TV 2 Documentary has extensive experience working with vulnerable sources, and we fully understand that it can be difficult for some adoptees to discuss their cases, and that many do not want publicity on this matter. Therefore, TV 2 has only contacted adoptees and inquired about their cases when the adoptees themselves have given their consent to speak about their experiences.

In fact, DKRG even helped facilitate contact between their members and TV2 when they posted an announcement in their Facebook group in early September, seeking participants for the documentary.

We are completely puzzled as to why DKRG felt the need to make these untrue statements when both DKRG, its members, and TV 2 should share the same goal: to thoroughly investigate adoptions from South Korea and uncover the truth as best as possible.

You Know, This All Catches Up With You Eventually…

Dear Peter Møller, Boonyoung Han, Bastiaan Flikweert and other DKRG “leaders” and supporters who poorly behave: At first I was shocked at the behavior behind the scenes of DKRG, but now I am just angry. I would like to be in support of the work that DKRG is doing, but you are doing serious intentional damage below the neck to the Danish Korean Adoptee community, and to the Korean Adoptee community at large. Those bruises from your below-the-neck punches are growing and they are seriously starting to SHOW.

And you know what? At some point, all of this just catches up to you. When you remove and block hundreds of Korean Adoptees from private forums which are supposedly dedicated to “Adoptee Rights”, at some point, you just seem unintelligent. And you lose the support and respect of the few people you have NOT YET blocked from your “Adoptee Rights” forums. If I have one piece of advice for DKRG, it is this: GROW UP. DO BETTER. APOLOGIZE. Because your time in the spotlight won’t last long if you continue to fail the Korean Adoptee community with your egregious behind-the-scenes behavior. Or worse - for you - you will be in the spotlight for reasons for which you don’t WANT to be.
