October 1st, 2024: KSS Adoptees Are Running Out Of Time To Conduct A Birth Family Search Through KSS.
FOR KSS (KOREA SOCIAL SERVICE) ADOPTEES ONLY! Just a reminder that you have about 3 more months to request a birth family search and your formerly secret "KOREAN Adoptive Child Study Summary" from KSS.
If you have not already done so, follow STEPS 1-5 of the "Illustrated Step By Step Guide" on the link below.
With the movement of ALL KSS files to NCRC starting in July 2025, you need to give KSS enough time to respond to your request/s.
KSS can take 1-4 months to respond to your FIRST request, and can take 3-6 months to conduct a birth family search.
If you have already done so, please see STEP 7 about requesting ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS, ONE BY ONE from KSS.
