2 Types of Relinquishment.

We refer to “Relinquishment” as the first date that you were physically in KSS’ system - whether you were Relinquished to the “K.S.S. Receiving Home in Seoul” (which was basically KSS’ campus in Seoul), a “Feeder Orphanage”, maternity clinic, hospital, single unwed mothers’ home, etc. Basically, what we call “Relinquishment” is the first day that you were no longer with your birth family, and were within KSS’ system.

KSS however uses the term “Relinquishment” to note the official date of Relinquishment of Guardianship by KSS to one of its Partner Western Adoption Agencies. This date was always after the physical date that you were relinquished by birth parents.
