Trigger Warning.

Before proceeding, please be aware that some information on this website might be upsetting or disturbing. Users may uncover inaccuracies in their own adoption paperwork/story or learn uncomfortable truths about the history of Korean Adoption. Please be prepared to emerge from what is often described as the ‘Adoptee Fog’ as you explore this site.

Please note that while we believe that ALL Adoptees would benefit from support through counseling, this is not a site which focuses on self-care and yoga-retreat endorsements. This is a rip-off-the-bandaid and tell the truth about adoption, no matter how bad it hurts kind of website. This is understandably not for everyone.

Not everyone is ready to learn deeper truths about her or his adoption from Korea. Many Korean Adoptees (and Adoptees in general) experience what is commonly referred to as “Adoptee Fog”, which not everyone is ready to come out of. Adoptees often speak of their fear of opening “Pandora’s Box”. This fear is natural. We created this website as a resource for those Adoptees who may be ready to learn deeper truths about her or his adoption from Korea through Korea Social Service (KSS) and it’s Partner Western Adoption Agencies. You may not be ready now to face the truth, but perhaps you will be ready in the future, or perhaps a Korean Adoptee friend or relative may benefit from the information on this site. We hope that at some point, you will want to know the truth. We’ll leave the light on for you.
